My name is Corrie Ostrander and I am a second year Master of Fine Arts graduate student in the interior design department at Florida State University. In addition to being a student, I am also a Teaching Assistant for several department classes.
After attending Fordham University in New York city for a semester and then taking a semester off, I found interior design to be my passion. Since this personal discovery, I have plunged head first into the world of design at Florida State University. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2019 and immediately started my graduate degree. During my undergraduate career I studied abroad in Florence, Italy, had two residential internships and three commercial internships.
Currently, I am working on my graduate research on how the interior environment impacts patients being treated at state funded mental health facilities in the United States. This research, along with my graduate project will be completed when I graduate in the Summer of 2021.
